I really liked Brayden and Molly’s story. I liked learning more about Brayden especially, as in the other books he was there, but not nearly as present until this one. I loved watching the stoic workaholic meet his match in Molly. I also enjoyed seeing him go above and beyond for her, to remind her of her worth in a town where she had actively destroyed her reputation as a youngster due to her horrible upbringing/abuse from her stepfather. Whilst a decent chunk of uncovering her past trauma was started in books 2&3, getting to know Molly and how her trauma has shaped her and her son, was really intriguing to me. Even when I got exasperated at the delayed getting together between her and Brayden, I was able to understand just how big a risk it was for her to let a man into her and Noah’s world. The sexual tension between these two was great, and I loved that their romance was quite physical at the start and built into an emotional connection after. It felt believable and well done. I also liked that they remained their own people even when they became a couple. Molly had her goals career-wise, and it made sense for her to stick to them. What I didn’t like was the old flame of Brayden’s coming back into the picture. I found Sara so badly placed in this world. I know he needed to have a reason for being closed off, but her persistence really bugged me and I hated that it was something that made Molly hesitate when it came to Brayden. He really ought to have nipped her in the bud ASAP. I also thought the one last tug at Molly’s reputation to be swiftly put in and resolved. I mean, I’m glad it didn’t get dragged out, but I wasn’t expecting the social media aspect and how that rapidly escalated. There was no real reprimand for the perpetrator and that annoyed me. I loved Noah. I loved his interactions with Ethan’s daughter, and I loved his excitement over becoming something more to Brayden too. The ending was cute, but honestly, I was a little done by this point with the repeated marriage/proposal and children storylines that I probably didn’t appreciate it as much as I could have.
